Orange-clad protesters march across Golden Gate Bridge to raise awareness on gun violence.

Hundreds of people, including 12-year-old activist Alexander Ibarra, marched across the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco to protest gun violence and call for action against the scourge. The march was part of the annual nationwide Wear Orange walk against gun violence. The group gathered at the H. Dana Bowers Vista Point to hear a lineup of speakers, including local elected officials, community organizers, and trauma response doctors, who gave passionate speeches about their experiences with gun violence. The marchers donned bright orange jackets, T-shirts, and hats and waved signs that read “We can end gun violence” and “It’s not about right or left. It’s about life or death.”
