Violence erupts at Southern California school board meeting over LGBTQ+ issues.

Protesters clashed outside the Glendale Unified School District headquarters in California as the school board decided whether to recognize June as Pride month. Police had to separate groups of protesters and counterprotesters who came to blows. The school board approved a resolution designating June as LGBTQ+ Pride month for the fifth year in a row. The Los Angeles Unified School District school board also unanimously voted to recognize Pride Month and encouraged all schools in the district to incorporate lessons on the LGBTQ+ community into the curriculum.
