Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders declared a state of emergency in Arkansas ahead of the solar eclipse, releasing funds to help commercial carriers transport essential items to customers in the state. The decision was made out of caution due to the expected increase of visitors potentially causing hardships, and $100,000 will be allocated from the fund to address program and administrative costs.
