TikTok banned from use at multiple Florida universities.

The Florida Board of Governors has banned the use of TikTok on campus Wi-Fi or school-owned devices across the state's largest institutions, including the University of Florida, Florida State University, and Florida Atlantic University, among others. The ban is in compliance with an emergency regulation adopted by the State University System Board of Governors on March 29, citing potential security risks and concerns over data collection by foreign governments. UF has urged students and faculty to delete the app from personal devices and has prohibited its use in any marketing or advertising initiatives.
