Utah's new age verification law prompts Pornhub to block all traffic from the state.

Pornhub has blocked access to its site for Utah residents in response to the state's new age verification laws, which require adult sites to use some sort of age-verification system to keep underage viewers from seeing pornographic content. The site argues that giving ID cards every time to visit an adult platform is not the most effective solution for protecting users and will put children and privacy at risk. However, the new law can be easily skirted by using a virtual private network (VPN). Searches for "Utah Age Verification Law" have increased by 4,300% since the start of May.
