Fatal Crashes and Hit-and-Run Incidents Claim Lives in Charlotte

One person was killed in a crash at an intersection in east Charlotte. The crash involved two cars, a Volkswagen and a Dodge. The front seat passenger of the Volkswagen was pronounced dead at the scene. Both drivers were found to be impaired and were charged with felony death by motor vehicle. The driver of the Dodge was also charged with additional offenses. Police are asking for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
