Phoenix-area Freeways: Two Suspected Impaired Wrong-Way Drivers Apprehended

Two wrong-way drivers were stopped by Department of Safety troopers on Phoenix-area freeways early Sunday morning. The first driver, traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes on I-10, was taken into custody for suspected impairment. The second driver, traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes on the Loop 101, was stopped after traveling almost 15 miles and also taken into custody for suspected impairment. No injuries were reported in either incident.
