Eyewitness Recounts Iowa Building Collapse Ordeal.

Quanishia “Peach” White Berry and her wife were preparing to leave their Davenport, Iowa apartment after noticing cracks when the building collapsed around them. Peach fell several stories and was trapped under debris for six hours before being rescued by first responders. Trauma surgeon Dr. Calvin Atwell amputated her leg in the midst of the wreckage, and she was rushed to the hospital. Nearly two weeks later, Peach is thankful for Atwell’s tough decision and is looking forward to healing and walking again.
