The five-person crew of the OceanGate Expeditions submersible Titan is believed to be lost. The Coast Guard has launched an investigation into the loss of the submersible and the five people on board. The Marine Board of Investigation is responsible for determining the cause of the marine casualty and can make recommendations to pursue civil or criminal sanctions as necessary.
