Tragic Sledding Accident Claims Lives of Two Illinois High School Students at Copper Mountain.

Two teenagers from Illinois died in a sledding accident at Copper Mountain Ski Resort in Summit County, Colorado. The teenagers were reportedly riding tandem down a half-pipe and were launched off a large snowbank at the bottom half of the pipe. Despite immediate medical attention, the teenagers could not be revived and were pronounced deceased on the scene. The Summit County Sheriff's Office has taken over the investigation into the cause and manner of death. Prairie Central High School in Illinois announced the deaths of two students in a ski-related accident.
