Tragic Student Deaths Cast Shadow Over High School Football Games

A high school senior in Northeast Ohio collapsed and died during homecoming festivities at a football game. The student, Breanna McKean, suffered a medical emergency prior to the game and was named a candidate for homecoming queen. The game was suspended at halftime, and the school district canceled the homecoming dance and all athletic events until October 4. Grief counselors will be available to students.
