Submersible Disaster: Revisiting the Titanic Dive

A man who went on a dive to the Titanic wreckage in 2019 with OceanGate, the same company whose submersible recently imploded, described the experience as a "suicide mission." Arthur Loibl paid $110,000 for the dive, which was successful but had multiple delays and technical issues. He called the operation "a bit dubious" in hindsight. The U.S. Coast Guard announced on Thursday that the missing submersible had imploded near the wreckage of the Titanic, killing all five people on board.
