Body recovered after teen goes missing while rafting at Caswell Memorial State Park

A 17-year-old boy, Gabriel Santiago, was found dead in the Stanislaus River after disappearing Saturday while rafting at Caswell Memorial State Park in San Joaquin County, California. A multi-agency search followed, and authorities located his body Sunday afternoon. The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation, with support from its Boating Safety Unit, drone team, and Ripon Fire personnel.
