Georgia officer shoots family's pet donkey during missing-child search

A Cedartown, Georgia officer shot and killed a family’s pet donkey, HeeHaw, in the animal’s own pasture while officers searched for a missing child who was later found at a nearby church. The officer has been placed on paid administrative leave and the Georgia Department of Agriculture Law Enforcement Division is investigating. The owner, Hannah Israel, has vowed legal action and started a GoFundMe that had raised over $113,000 for legal costs and farm needs.
