Minnesota family faces federal charges for assaulting TPUSA reporter at anti-ICE protest

A Minnesota father, mother and their daughter were indicted on federal charges for allegedly assaulting Turning Point USA reporter Savanah Hernandez during an April anti-ICE protest outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building in Fort Snelling. Christopher Ostroushko (51) and Paige Ostroushko (20) face charges of interference with a federally protected activity and assault, while Deyanna Ostroushko (46) is charged with assault; Hernandez suffered a concussion and other injuries. The FBI led the investigation and the DOJ said the incident was not peaceful protest. Christopher Ostroushko also faces a separate state fifth-degree assault charge in Hennepin County. The defendants are set to appear in court May 12. Hernandez thanked the DOJ/FBI for the investigation, and prosecutors warned that political violence will be punished.
