Brewers Bet on Speed: Luis Lara Inks Seven-Year Extension
TL;DR
The Brewers have agreed to a seven-year, $31 million extension with outfield prospect Luis Lara, including three club options that could push the total to $79 million; Lara will stay in the minors on optional assignment, and the deal locks in control through age 27 (with club options to age 30) as Milwaukee continues to build a young, cost-controlled outfield core.
