Bears lock in Wright with record-setting extension for RT
TL;DR
The Chicago Bears signed right tackle Darnell Wright to a four-year extension worth $116 million with $93 million guaranteed, making him the highest-paid RT in NFL history. Wright, 24, has progressed steadily since being drafted No. 10 in 2023 and earned second-team All-Pro last season; the deal, which keeps him under contract through 2031, follows the Bears’ strong OL improvement from 2024 to 2025.
