Brooklyn Man Arrested in Betting Scheme with Ex-NBA Player Jontay Porter

Long Phi Pham, a Brooklyn man, has been arrested and charged with wire fraud for conspiring with others, including an NBA player, to place illegal "under prop" bets on the player's performance in two NBA games. The scheme involved the player withdrawing early from games to ensure the success of the bets, resulting in over $1 million in profits for the conspirators. Pham faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted. Three co-conspirators remain at large.
