Chad Wheeler Convicted of Domestic Violence Charges

Former NFL offensive lineman Chad Wheeler has been found guilty of two counts of domestic violence stemming from a 2021 incident with his then-girlfriend. Wheeler, who was a backup tackle for the Seattle Seahawks at the time, was accused of pinning the woman down and choking her until she lost consciousness. The jury determined that Wheeler used force likely to result in death, and he now faces a mandatory minimum of five years for the first-degree assault charge. Wheeler is scheduled to be sentenced on December 14.
