Former MLB pitcher arrested in 2021 homicide and attempted murder case

Former MLB pitcher Danny Serafini and Samantha Scott have been arrested in connection with the 2021 homicide of a California couple. The Placer County Sheriff's Office stated that the arrests were made following a two-year investigation into the murder of Robert Gary Spohr and the attempted murder of Wendy Wood. Surveillance footage and evidence linked Serafini and Scott to the incident, and it was revealed that the suspects and victims knew each other. Serafini, who played for six teams in his MLB career, and Scott are awaiting extradition from Nevada.
