Larry Nassar, convicted sex offender, brutally attacked in prison

Former US national gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar, who is serving up to 175 years in prison for molesting gymnasts, was stabbed multiple times during a fight with another inmate at United States Penitentiary Coleman in Florida. Nassar suffered collapsed lungs and was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. An internal investigation has been launched, and no staff or other inmates were injured. Nassar admitted to sexually assaulting athletes while working with USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University, and more than 330 women and girls have accused him of abuse. Olympic athletes Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, and McKayla Maroney have testified about surviving Nassar's abuse.
