Lions start 2026 roster cuts with veteran LB and young TE

The Detroit Lions began their 2026 roster cuts by releasing veteran linebacker Troy Reeder and waiving tight end Zach Horton. Reeder, a seven-year veteran with substantial special-teams experience, lost out for a final 53-man spot after Damone Clark’s injury left depth options in play; because he’s a veteran, he’s not subject to waivers.
