Romo pleads no contest to OWI in Milwaukee, faces license suspension and ignition interlock

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo pleaded no contest to an OWI-first offense after a July Milwaukee arrest. The court revoked his driving privileges for six months, ordered an alcohol assessment, and required an ignition interlock device on any vehicle he owns for at least a year after a license is issued. Three other traffic citations were dismissed, and he must pay $834 in fines by November 2. Romo’s BAC was .15. In a statement, he cited pain and a dependence on alcohol linked to medical treatment, said he is seeking health changes, and asked for privacy as he works toward recovery and a return to CBS.
