At the World Championships closing ceremony, Pokémon announced Mega Evolutions are joining official Go competition (Armored Mewtwo returns and the Go Fest Mega Finale starts Sept 5); the Trading Card Game is adding cards including Mega Evolutions from Legends: Z-A and a new ex star; a new animated movie, Pokémon Wild Card, teased (featuring Mimikyu) with a 2027 release; Pokémon Champions showed off Z Mega Evolutions for Absol and Lucario and Mega Heatran, arriving Sept 9; next year’s World Championships are set for Singapore (Aug 13–15); Winds and Waves trailer was not shown.
