Florida State's Football Snub: Job Cuts and Lawsuits

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has proposed cutting over 1,000 state jobs and reducing the current budget by $4.6 billion, while maintaining popular sales tax holidays. DeSantis also requested $1 million to allow Florida State University to sue the College Football Playoff committee over their exclusion from the championship playoff. Additionally, he recommended over $1 billion in tax cuts, including sales tax holidays for school and hurricane supplies. The governor's budget proposal is subject to approval by the Legislature.
