"Martin Dominates MotoGP Sepang Test Day 1"

Jorge Martin led the opening day of MotoGP pre-season testing at Sepang, with rookie Pedro Acosta in second and Fabio Quartararo in third. Franco Morbidelli was absent due to a previous accident, while Fabio Di Giannantonio piloted the best-placed 2023-spec Desmosedici in fourth. Reigning champion Pecco Bagnaia had a tip-off on his outlap and ended up in 16th place. Raul Fernandez had a high-side crash, and Maverick Vinales was the lead rider for Aprilia. The testing will continue for two more days at Sepang before moving to Lusail for a two-day test ahead of the season-opening Qatar Grand Prix.
