The Philadelphia 76ers have fired head coach Doc Rivers after three seasons, during which the team failed to make it to a conference finals. Rivers had a 154-82 regular season record with the Sixers, but lost five consecutive Game 7s as a head coach. The Sixers are now looking for a new head coach, with early candidates including Mike Budenholzer, Monty Williams, Sam Cassell, Mike D'Antoni, Nick Nurse and Frank Vogel. The team becomes one of the more desirable head coaching openings this offseason, with Joel Embiid fresh off an MVP season and the potential looming free agency of James Harden.
