Boys Volleyball Officially Sanctioned as Varsity Sport in Minnesota.

Boys volleyball has been approved to become a sanctioned sport by the Minnesota State High School League, with competition set to begin in the 2024-25 school year. The league still needs to determine the season for boys' volleyball. The Minnesota Boys High School Volleyball Association has been lobbying for sanctioned status and has organized statewide competition as a club sport for several years. Teams from 72 Minnesota high schools, including nearly 2,000 athletes, are participating in this spring's season. Minnesota is now the 25th state to sanction boys volleyball as a high school sport.
