Braves shake up bullpen, call up Dodd as Perez hits the DFA list

The Atlanta Braves designated veteran left-hander Martin Perez for assignment and recalled lefty Dylan Dodd from Triple-A Gwinnett, adding bullpen depth as Perez’s brief MLB stint (three games, 0.907 WHIP) comes to an end; if Perez clears waivers, Atlanta could stash him in Gwinnett. With upcoming off-days delaying a need for a fifth starter by about 10 days, the Braves may also activate Spencer Strider later or consider Didier Fuentes among other bullpen options.
