Braves' Shuster struggles in loss to Nationals.

Braves lefty Jared Shuster had a rough debut, allowing four runs in the first inning against the Nationals. Despite regrouping and lasting 4 2/3 innings, the Braves lost 4-1. Meanwhile, Braves catcher Sean Murphy impressed with a strong throw to catch Luis Garcia attempting to steal. Ian Anderson, the struggling former postseason sensation, had a worse day, giving up three home runs in his season debut at Triple-A Gwinnett. The Nationals avoided a sweep and got solid pitching from their own 24-year-old lefty, MacKenzie Gore, who limited the Braves to one run in 5 1/3 innings.
