Carson Beck Takes the Helm as Georgia's Starting QB

Carson Beck has been named the starting quarterback for the Georgia Bulldogs as they aim to defend their back-to-back championships. Beck, who served as the backup to Stetson Bennett last season, emerged as the frontrunner during spring practice. Coach Kirby Smart made the announcement two weeks before the Bulldogs' season opener. Beck will have the challenge of filling the shoes of Bennett, who was the offensive MVP in both national championship victories and a Heisman Trophy finalist last year.
