TL;DR

Dallas is close to hiring Christian Parker as its next defensive coordinator, with a deal agreed in principle but not yet signed. Parker, the Eagles’ defensive passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach, would become Dallas’s DC without prior NFL head-coaching experience and would follow Matt Eberflus. The move comes after a 2025 season in which the Cowboys allowed a franchise-record 511 points, underscoring the need for a fresh defensive leadership and Parker’s rising reputation from his Packers and Broncos coaching roots.
