Dallas Mavericks' Draft Night Shake-Up: Lively In, Bertans Out, Multiple Trades Made.
TL;DR
The Dallas Mavericks' selection of Dereck Lively at number 12 in the NBA Draft shows a lack of self-awareness by the front office, according to Mavs Moneyball. The team lacks talent, upside, versatility, and dynamism, and instead of swinging for the fences, they drafted yet another one-way player with limited upside on the other end of the floor. The Western Conference Finals run of two years ago may have doomed the franchise for the foreseeable future.
