Gibbs’ hold-in fuels contract chatter as Lions call back issue minor
TL;DR
Jahmyr Gibbs missed his fifth straight Detroit Lions training-camp practice and offered little on when he'll return, saying the hold-in isn’t about a new contract. Lions coach Dan Campbell said Gibbs reported a minor back injury at conditioning, and Gibbs has been around the facility for weight room work and film sessions while the team weighs long-term deals for Gibbs and other 2023 picks; Gibbs is on a rookie deal worth about $3.183 million this season with two years left.
