Jamaal Williams slams Lions' "disrespectful" contract offer before signing with Saints.
TL;DR
Jamaal Williams, former running back for the Detroit Lions, called the contract offer he received from the team "disrespectful" after he signed with the New Orleans Saints. The Lions reportedly offered Williams a deal similar to the one they gave to David Montgomery, but the two sides could not come to an agreement. Williams had a career season with the Lions in 2022, but the team was aggressive in pursuing other free agents during the 2023 offseason.
