The Los Angeles Lakers unveiled a new 19-foot bronze statue of NBA legend Kobe Bryant outside their home arena, the Crypto.com Arena, to honor his legacy. The statue depicts Bryant with his index finger up, reminiscent of his iconic 81-point game in 2006, and was revealed in the presence of Lakers legends and Bryant's widow, Vanessa. Two more statues, one of Bryant in his No 24 jersey and another of him with his daughter Gianna, will also be unveiled. The ceremony took place on February 8, 2024, marking a significant date for Bryant and his daughter, and pays tribute to his lasting impact on the game of basketball.
