The Dallas Mavericks have no interest in a sign-and-trade with the Los Angeles Lakers that features D’Angelo Russell as the primary Dallas-bound player, according to league sources. While the Lakers could clear almost $30 million in cap space, free agency is not the path the Lakers appear to be walking. Re-signing Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura and putting them next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis, plus rounding out the roster has the Lakers quickly pushing above the cap and into the tax.
