Mets' Alonso hits walk-off homer to beat MLB-best Rays in extra innings.

Pete Alonso hits a walk-off homer in the 10th inning to give the New York Mets an 8-7 comeback win against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Mets struggled to get their bats going against Rays starter Josh Fleming, but a three-run homer from catcher Francisco Alvarez tied the game at 5-5 and sent it to extra innings. The Rays took the lead in the 10th inning, but Alonso's homer gave the Mets their most dramatic win of the season. Starter Kodai Senga struck out 12 in six innings for the Mets.
