Michael Conforto made his return to MLB after missing all of last season due to shoulder surgery. He signed a two-year, $36 million deal with the San Francisco Giants after a subpar 2021 season with the New York Mets. Conforto batted second and played right field in the Giants' 5-0 loss to the Yankees on Opening Day. He went 1-for-4 with a single and struck out twice.
