MLB Relocation Committee Welcomes Phillies and Royals Owners

Philadelphia Phillies CEO John Middleton and Kansas City Royals CEO John Sherman have been appointed to Major League Baseball's relocation committee, joining Milwaukee Brewers chairman Mark Attanasio. The committee will evaluate the Oakland Athletics' application to move to Las Vegas, define the new operating and television territories, and make a recommendation to Commissioner Rob Manfred and the executive council. The move would make Las Vegas the fourth home for the Athletics, who hope to secure a new ballpark in the city after their lease at the Coliseum expires in 2024.
