The merger between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf has caused controversy among players, with some calling for the resignation of PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan. Golfer Johnson Wagner described the meeting between players and Monahan as "contentious," with around 90% of players against the merger. The Saudi-backed LIV Golf and the PGA Tour are ending an antitrust battle and agreed to end all litigation between the two sides. The merger will also see the Saudi Public Investment Fund make a capital investment into the new, yet-to-be-named supertour.
