Rockets eye Kenny Atkinson for head coach position.

The Golden State Warriors have granted the Houston Rockets permission to interview assistant coach Kenny Atkinson for their vacant head-coaching position. Atkinson, who has previously coached the Brooklyn Nets, is one of several candidates being considered by the Rockets, including Adrian Griffin, Ime Udoka, Frank Vogel, James Borrego, and Kevin Young. The Rockets recently parted ways with Stephen Silas after three years, finishing the season with a 22-60 record.
