Despite putting Shohei Ohtani on the ropes early in the game, the Seattle Mariners fell to the Los Angeles Angels 4-3, ending their season-opening homestand with five losses in seven games. Ohtani walked four, hit two batters, and threw a wild pitch that led to a run, but the Mariners' offense played catch-up all afternoon.
