Steelers Expand Head-Coach Search With Veterans and Rising Coordinators
TL;DR
The Steelers have moved into Phase 2 of their head-coach search, conducting in-person interviews with Brian Flores and Mike McCarthy and virtual interviews with Klay Kubiak, Chris Shula, Nathan Scheelhaase, Jesse Minter and Ejiro Evero (Jeff Hafley had interviewed virtually before taking the Dolphins job). Analysts summarize the contenders: Flores as a top defensive mind, McCarthy as a stabilizing veteran with extensive QB experience, and a crop of younger coordinators from the McVay/Shanahan trees (plus Evero) as potential fits for Pittsburgh.
