TL;DR
Former USC quarterback and No. 1 recruit in the 2023 class, Malachi Nelson, has announced his transfer to Boise State after entering the transfer portal in December. Nelson, who played sparingly at USC behind Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams, seeks a new start at Boise State, which recently lost quarterback Taylen Green to a transfer. Nelson, with four years of eligibility left, could become a long-term asset for the Broncos.
