The New York Yankees should make four moves in the MLB offseason: sign Japanese pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto, pursue a trade for San Diego Padres outfielder Juan Soto, add another left-handed bat, and improve their depth. Yamamoto, a 25-year-old with high-end power stuff, would provide a long-term rotation building block. Soto, a left-handed hitter, would significantly upgrade the offense and bring a swagger to the team. The Yankees also need another lefty bat and must address their lack of depth.
