NASCAR Street Race in Chicago to Cause Major Traffic Disruptions

Major road closures are expected to impact Chicago traffic for weeks due to the upcoming NASCAR street race, which will take place on July 2. The closures will include major roadways like DuSable Lake Shore Drive, Columbus Drive, Jackson Drive, Balbo Drive, and Michigan Avenue, and are expected to kick off on June 2 and continue through July 15. In addition to the closures, officials expect roughly 50,000 people to attend each day of the two-day event.
