UEFA moves to press criminal charges against Infantino over FIFA Forward scheme

UEFA says it plans to file criminal claims in Switzerland against Gianni Infantino related to the failed FIFA Forward Enterprise plan and has sought U.S. discovery under a Section 1782 order to obtain and preserve documents from FIFA and related parties, arguing the $4.2 billion sale of a 20% stake implied an implausibly low enterprise value of about $20 billion and noting that the process was not run through an open auction or independently valued; UEFA has identified 14 FIFA executives to preserve material while FIFA was contacted for comment.
