Ex-Apple employee sentenced to prison for $17 million fraud scheme.

A former Apple employee has been sentenced to three years in prison and ordered to pay $19 million in restitution for defrauding the company of more than $17 million. Dhirendra Prasad used his position as a parts buyer to make Apple pay for items and services it never received, inflated invoices, stole parts, and took kickbacks. Prasad's co-conspirators, Robert Gary Hansen and Don M. Baker, also admitted their involvement in the crimes. Prasad admitted to making illicit payments to his creditors and using a shell company to avoid paying taxes.
