Massive Pokémon Counterfeiting Operation Busted: 1,000 Fake Cards Seized by Police

Police in Annaka City, Japan seized 1,000 counterfeit Pokémon cards, including products from the trading card game, from a 21-year-old suspect's home. The investigation began after the suspect sold four fake cards to customers who reported the incident to the police. Nintendo confirmed the cards were counterfeit, leading to the discovery of the larger haul. The counterfeits included both Japanese and English copies, and it is still unclear where they were printed or how the suspect obtained them.
